We believe it is important for people to SAY YES to Growing in Personal Relationship with God, Belonging to a Group, and Serving Fort Worth and our World. By saying yes to each of these things, we believe that love will increase in and through us, and our church and community will begin to change. Imagine what it would mean if our interactions and experiences were defined by love.

HOW CAN YOU SAY YES?

TO Growing in Personal relationship with God

Growing in Personal Relationship with God offers you a chance to know the Creator of our world in new and deeper ways. We believe that when you are connected to God, you are able to experience unconditional love and new freedoms. When we realize that God wants a personal relationship with us, loves us, pursues us, and offers us grace and freedom - it changes everything.

  • God is good and wants good for you! Connect with one of our pastors if you want to learn more about this God or wondering how God is active in your life. Maybe it’s time to say yes to a relationship with God.

  • Through baptism, we proclaim officially what is already true. You are a child of God. You are loved by God. You make God happy. If you want to claim this identity for yourself, connect with one of our pastors.

  • Learning about Methodists’ special emphasis on grace might help you discover a loving God who is for you. We provide learning opportunities throughout the year about this and many other topics.

  • Been with us for a while? It might be time to define the relationship. Through Say YES events we share our vision for Arborlawn and invite you to help us live into it. Let us know when you are ready for a Say Yes Day.

TO Belonging to a group

Belonging to a Group allows you to connect with others in an authentic and safe place.  God created us to live together, and we believe that in community we are able to grasp and understand a bigger picture of God. Living together doesn’t mean we show each other our picture perfect lives on instagram.  Living together means we bring our messy lives to the table trusting we will be loved and accepted. When we don’t allow others in, we close ourselves off to the power of relationships. Belonging to a group gives space for us to be who we are, talk about what we are going through, and offer others the love we want to receive.

  • Let’s build real relationships that are loving and encouraging. Connect to others through a variety of settings including casual social gatherings or more intentional small groups.

TO SERVING FORT WORTH AND OUR WORLD

Serving Fort Worth and our World is about you sharing the gifts and talents God has given you to bring about the beloved community. God has created and equipped everyone differently. When we use our unique gifts together, we are better able to meet the unique needs of our community. We serve God best by serving those who were made in God’s image. We want to partner with you to serve our community so we can feed people, clothe people, and support children and educators. By partnering with us in this grace-filled service, we will help others know they are loved and cared for.

  • Let us connect you to an opportunity to love Fort Worth and our world by serving others. Our three primary areas of concern are children, food insecurity, and poverty.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SAY YES?

When we achieve our mission we become a part of the Beloved Community. Our Christ-centered vision is a Beloved Community, where all are seen and cared for as beloved children of God and poverty, hunger, and hate give way to hope, dignity, and abundant life. Beloved Community is us working towards bringing heaven here on earth. By growing in our relationship with God, belonging to a group, and serving Fort Worth, we will welcome more and more people into the Beloved Community.
