Arborlawn Youth Ministry exists to help 6th through 12th graders take the next step in their journeys and relationships with God. We seek to provide opportunities for students to grow through:
Small Group Discipleship (a.k.a. Life Groups) with passionate adult volunteers and a group of their peers
Service Opportunities like local projects, mission trips and “Mission Moment Sundays”
Relevant Bible teaching in our Sunday night gatherings, Sunday School, and youth Bible studies
Partnering with Parents/Guardians to help equip and resource them to make disciples at home
UPCOMING EVENTS
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School is a chance for students to dive a bit deeper into the various stories and lessons scripture has to offer, weekly at 10 AM in Rooms 210 and 212. Donuts and kolaches are provided every single week, so you don’t want to miss it!
SUNDAY NIGHT WORSHIP
You belong at The Greenhouse! The Greenhouse is our newly branded space (formerly the Family Life Center) where our youth gather on Sunday nights for fellowship and worship. We call it The Greenhouse because this is a space where youth can grow as disciples of Jesus and prepare them to go out into the world wherever that may be to serve and love on others through their faith they have grown in that space. Come see what God is doing through The Greenhouse!
During the school year 6th through 12th graders gather on Sunday nights. The night starts off with free play and fun games before coming together for worship and a message. After that, youth split off into small groups by grade and gender with their Life Group Leaders to share and discuss together.
We currently meet from 4-7 PM every Sunday night. The first Sunday of every month is Sunday Funday where youth travel to fun places around the Fort Worth area or stay in for a fun event (this includes events like rollerskating, escape rooms, food trucks at church and more!).
Feed our Hungry Youth!
Fall is here which means Arborlawn Youth Sunday nights are BACK! We invite our Arborlawn community to provide, order or donate full or partial funds towards a meal on those Sunday nights as our youth worship, learn and grow as disciples in their own faith journeys. We invite you to prayerfully consider providing at least one meal this year. If you have questions or would like to sign up, please reach out to Jenny Spidell, Pastor of Youth Ministry, at jenny@arborlawnumc.org!
