Why affinity groups? We believe that asking you to gather in groups around a shared interest is what is going to help build community in a light-hearted way in this season. Below you will find information about each affinity group, as well as an interest form for you to fill out so that you can let us know which groups are most appealing to you, and we will be able to reach out to you with more specific communication about each group as the hosts make plans to meet with those who are interested.
Trivia Group
Join others from Arborlawn for a little friendly competition each month at Funky Picnic!
Crafting Group
Let your creative juices fly! This group gathers once a month at the church. The craft changes each time the group gathers as different people teach a craft they love. You do not need to be a "crafty" person to participate!

Gardening Group
Join fellow gardening enthusiasts at Arborlawn's very own garden. All of the produce grown in the garden goes to AUMC's food pantry, which then serves our community. In this group you can expect to weed, water and plant. Whether you are a gardening pro or have never before touched a seed, you are welcome to come and serve the community! This group meets every Saturday from March through December.
Spirit Yoga Group
Spirit yoga provides a way to connect to your faith through movement, meditation, prayer, and scripture. On Wednesdays at 1:30pm, join Mel Holder and others for 75 minutes of uninterrupted time with God.
What to bring: light lunch or snacks, yoga mat, water, and a hand towel (optional). A few spare yoga mats are available if you do not have your own.
