STEPHEN MINISTERS
Forty-five caring people at Arborlawn are trained as Stephen Ministers. They serve other church members in a one-to-one caring ministry that abides with people through the transitions of life. All Stephen Ministers have received fifty hours of training to become excellent strategic listeners and provide Christian caring. Stephen Ministers also mentor the families who join Arborlawn UMC. Stephen Ministers contribute significantly to the atmosphere of harmony and peace that pervades Arborlawn UMC.
BRANCH MINISTRY AT ARBORLAWN
Each Arborlawn member receives recognition marking the anniversary of his or her join date. Members of the Branch Ministry make these personal contacts.
FAITH COMMUNITY NURSE MINISTRY
The Faith Community Nurse ministry offers free blood pressure screening, health education programs and other wellness services to members of the congregation and guests.
FINALS CARE PACKAGES
College students are sent care packages during final exams week. Donations from members and guests are appreciated to make the packages plentiful. Nutritious snack foods and school supplies are appreciated.
