Wedding Information

weddings_ceremonies.jpgA wedding is one of the happiest and holiest moments in life. As two persons join their lives to establish a home, the church rejoices with them and is eager to help make the occasion beautiful. The true beauty lies in the spirit and attitude of those who take part.

In the happy excitement of planning a wedding, many questions arise. This gives you some of the "basics" of Arborlawn's wedding policy. For more information, please contact the church office for a wedding packet.

Facilities Available:
SANCTUARY seats 500 downstairs, with an additional 150 in the balcony. (25 pews down either side of the center aisle.)
PARLOR seats 40, and is available for small weddings or to use as an additional changing room for large weddings.
COURTYARD is available for small stand-up weddings and outdoor pictures.
FELLOWSHIP HALL is available for receptions following the wedding ceremony.

Regulations:
Weddings must be scheduled to begin no later than 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Receptions should last no longer than two hours, or no later than 10:00 p.m. to allow adequate time for preparation for Sunday.
The church provides a bride's room, which is considered part of Sanctuary use for weddings.
The serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on premises.
The church wedding coordinator is a staff representative who must be present at all ceremonies.
Music must be approved by the Director of Music. The church organist or a church designated organist is available to play for weddings.cake wedding.jpg

Photography before and after the service is encouraged. Photos taken during the service should be without flash. Photographers are prohibited from placing equipment or standing on pews and furniture of the church.
Videotaping is permitted, but we ask that equipment remain stationary and inconspicuous. Appropriate attire is appreciated.

Florists are invited to arrange a time with the church wedding coordinator for decorating and set up.
The florists and/or decorator must remove all decorations immediately following the ceremony.
Pew bows are not to be taped, stapled, or pinned to the pews.
Silk petals are acceptable to be strewn.
